Canada VISA/Immigration Exam

Our clinic provides Visa/Immigration Medical Exams (IME) service by certified Panel Physicians via the eMedical system. All medical examination reports will be submitted to IRCC electronically.
We offer medical exams for Permanent Resident (PR) applicants, Temporary Resident (Visitor / Work / Study Permit) applicants, Refugees (IFHP), and Ukrainians (CUAET).

I HAVE an invitation letter / an IMM 1017 (Medical Report - Client Biodata and Summary) form from IRCC
Please provide us the IME/ UCI number on the form when booking your appointment.
I HAVE NOT received an invitation nor an IMM 1017 form
Even if you do not have an invitation, you are still eligible for the Upfront Medical Exam. However, please note that your medical exam results are only valid for 12 months.
I am an Ukrainian CUAET Program applicant
Please inform us right away during booking. If you are enrolled in the Medical Services Plan (MSP) with a Canada-Ukraine Authorization for Emergency Travel (CUAET) document, the costs of the required medical test are now covered. Please provide us with your valid BC Health Care Card Number for registration.
I am a Refugee IFHP Program applicant
Please inform us right away during booking. Please provide us the refugee document information for confirmation of eligibility. In most cases there will be no fee incurred if you are an eligible candidate.

The applicant’s personal information including legal name, date of birth, identity document*, as well as the contact information including email, residential address in Canada, and a valid phone number, will be acquired when scheduling the appointment. You will be asked to complete a registration form prior to your appointment after it is scheduled.
Please also prepare any relevant document listed above (e.g. IMM 1017 form, IME/ UCI number, invitation letter, refugee document, CUAET document with MSP care card number) if applicable.
* Your identity document details will be required. IRCC strongly suggests applicants to submit passports for identification.

You may still be eligible to use alternative identity documents for identification. Please feel free to reach out to us for further information.
💡 Things you need to know before booking your VISA/Immigration Exam:

For how long my Immigration Medical Exam results are valid for?
Your medical exam results are valid for 12 months. If your medical exam was done 12 months before IRCC review / approve your application, you will be required to repeat this exam. Should you have any further queries about your visa application/ or your health examination results, please contact your IRCC visa officer.

You may be contacted for additional tests (e.g. blood work / sputum test) after the medical exam
Additional blood work or sputum test may be required if you have been diagnosed with certain chronic health conditions such as Hepatitis, HIV, etc. IRCC will contact you by mail or email if additional tests are required. Please notify our clinic as soon as possible. We will provide a follow up without any extra fee. However, the laboratory will charge for additional testings.

You may be contacted for medical surveillance
If your IME results indicated you have inactive tuberculosis, a medical surveillance will be required by IRCC. The provincial or territorial public health authority nearest will contact you directly for a medical check-up. Please visit here for more information.

Do I need an appointment at other sites to perform the chest x-ray and blood test?
You DO NOT need appointments for the chest x-ray and blood test. After completion of the physical exam with the panel physician, you will be visiting a separate screening site on a walk-in basis for the remaining exams.
There are NO specified instructions for chest x-rays and blood tests. That means you DO NOT need to fast or empty bladder prior to the exams.

Do I have to submit the medical exam results to IRCC?
Once the blood tests and chest x-ray results are received, your health case will be submitted electronically to IRCC via eMedical. You will receive a confirmation letter indicating completion fulfillment within 7-10 days from the date of your exam.
Depending on your application type, you might be required the submit a proof of IME completion (information sheet) to your immigration account. The sheet will be provided by email once we submitted all the information to IRCC.
